Cultivating Connections Board Members

                                      
Mark Steiner is co-founder of Cultivating Connections and Creation Spirituality of Louisville. Since 1991, Mark has been facilitating workshops, groups and retreats on Creation Spirituality, Eco-Spirituality, and the New Cosmology throughout the country. He has been a key coordinator of the 2001, 2004, and 2005 EarthSpirit Rising conferences.

In collaboration with Catherine Browning, Mark has developed two workshops on the New Cosmology “My Universe, My Self” and the paradigm-shifting “Out of the Box” (as seen in EarthLight Magazine).

In addition, Mark has presented and spoken at events for the University of Creation Spirituality, the Sierra Club, The Speed Art Museum, and the Earth Charter Summit. He has written articles for Original Blessing, Parenting with Spirit, Illuminations, and the Epic of Evolution Newsletter.

Catherine Browning received her master’s degree in Creation Spirituality in 1988 and subsequently worked for Friends of Creation Spirituality as Matthew Fox’s media liaison during his silencing from the Vatican. Following those events, she became managing editor of Creation Magazine. She has been active as a Creation Spirituality Connector through out the Midwest and the Ohio Valley, offering workshops, retreats, and articles exploring Creation Spirituality and the New Cosmology. She is working on her Doctor of Ministry through Wisdom University in Oakland.

Catherine is also actively involved in bridging community relations between the United States and the Middle East. She teaches nursing in Kuwait and travels extensively throughout the Near East region. Alex Cleveland has studied yoga principles independently since the 1980’s and professionally in India and the USA for the past 15 years. He has taught Iyengar style yoga for the past nine years. He is an accomplished educator, active member of Creation Spirituality of Louisville, and board member of Cultivating Connections. Alex is committed to the study, practice and teaching of yoga, deep ecumenism and the Creation Spirituality tradition.
